The Naytahwaush Community Charter School conducts math and reading screenings in grades K-6 on a seasonal basis utilizing Formative Assessment System for Teachers (FAST).
FAST combines Curriculum-Based Measurement and Computer Adaptive Testing to measure and monitor student progress in reading and math. This data enables our educators to make appropriate decisions regarding classroom instruction.
The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) tests for math, reading, and science (Grade 5) are state and federal accountability tests used to determine instructional effectiveness.
MCA’s are conducted in the spring of each year. Preliminary results are shared in late May with final results provided at the fall open house with Individual Student Reports are mailed to parents.
